Fragrance is created to evoke a mood and elicit a memory. For me, the new Norell New York does both. My mother wore the original Norell fragrance when I was very small and the scent brings back wonderful memories of happiness for me. I am honored to partner with Norell to celebrate the fragrance’s 50th Anniversary.
About now I begin to look for items to add to my wardrobe that will take me into fall. I like pieces that can work in several seasons and year round if possible. Let’s face it. In Dallas we only have hot and a little bit of cold. This silky cold shoulder dress from Joie fits the bill.
Earlier this spring, I told you I’m making a concerted effort to wear more print and pattern. While I do gravitate to a solid, prints are growing on me. When I saw this gorgeous printed dress, it stole my heart!
It’s fun to follow trends and gingham really trending right now. Yes, I know gingham has been around “forever.” We all had our favorite gingham dress as a little girl or smocked gingham dress for our daughters. But gingham is making a big splash this spring and is not childish at all!
As Iris Apfel famously said, “More is More. Less is a Bore!” That certainly applies to the Spring trend of Embellished Everything. As you know, I’m by no means a minimalist dresser but today I’m embracing the Embellished Everything trend and sharing favorites from Neiman Marcus today.
