Today, I’m welcoming you into my home for a Holiday Home Tour. I’m excited to be a part of this Holiday Home Tour with six other home and lifestyle bloggers who are all sharing how we decorate to celebrate. I’ve linked to each of them at the bottom of the post.
A special hello to those joining me from Ashley’s blog – Modern Glam Home. If you are new to The Lush List, I write about Personal Style, Food and Entertaining, Interiors, Beauty and Travel. I’m so glad to have you and hope you’ll peruse the rest of my site while your here and register for my newsletter as I have more holiday inspiration and a few giveaways coming in December.
Our entry is festive with the new pre-lit garland from Joss and Main. I love the greenery mix and pinecones which I think makes them look just like fresh greenery. I’ve added a cozy pillow to the navy velvet bench in the entry where fuchsia Ikat pillows typically live. This sunny spot gets a lot more use than I thought it would when I placed seating here.
I’ll have a full Christmas Tablescape post soon but here is a sneak peek at the set up. I loved stacking these cake plates and topping it with a last minute find. Love when I make a great find because something doesn’t arrive as expected and it turns out even better! I used the medium tree (sold out) in the centerpiece and the large on the side tables.

Our kitchen and breakfast room are truly the heart of our home. When we remodeled it a few years ago, I created this huge island that is home to crafts, cooking and homework on any given day. My girls love hot chocolate and in the cooler months we have it a lot as an after school treat to warm up.
The sofa, covered in Crypton Fabric, is one of the most used spots in our home. I added this a few months ago and every afternoon one of the girls sits there and reads. The others are either at the island or at the table crafting or doing homework. I’ve added the cozy throw to this spot for winter as it does get cool in here with all the windows but we love the light!
Pre-Lit Decorated Garland on Mantle (c/o) (Similar Here) / Pre-Lit Garland (c/o) / Mercury Glass Candlesticks (c/o) / Pre-Lit Tree (Similar Here)/ Wrapping Paper (c/o) (Sold Out) / Nutcrackers here, here, here and here / All general room details here and here
I absolutely love our Family Room. It is a bright sunny spot in our home and it truly shines during the holidays. I shared a full Family Room Reveal in the spring here and I shared a few changes for Winter to our Family Room here.
Our tree is filled with decorative and sentimental ornaments. First, I layer in small and medium clear and white glass balls for filler and shimmer. We then use our collection of mercury glass ornaments in different shapes and sizes. For this shoot, I only added a few as the girls wanted to wait until December to add their favorites. (They were not exactly happy I put it all up so early this year!)
One of my favorite things to showcase during Christmas is my collection of Nutcrackers. I didn’t set out to collect them thought. It just happened and they make me so happy even with the bit of wear the older ones show.
I know many coordinate their stockings with their decor but these will always be a focal point for us. My mother needlepointed a stocking for each of my girls for their first Christmas which makes them so very special to us.
Another of my favorite items of all our decor is the hand-made nativity. My older girls did this during their Sunday School Class when they were in second grade. These precious teachers retired before my youngest could do this.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this tour of my home decorated for Christmas. Below you’ll find links to my friends who are also opening their homes for inspiration today as well. Summer Adams and her beautiful home is next on the tour then check out my friends below, too.
Also, be sure you are registered for my newsletter so you don’t miss the great holiday inspiration I have coming in December and a few fun giveaways as well!
