Can you believe it is only 10 days until Thanksgiving? Here is a quick check list to make sure you have everything you need to prepare a great meal for Thanksgiving already in your pantry. Shop for all of these now and not be in the long lines this time next week!

Turkey: I get mine from Greenburg Turkey in Tyler, Texas. They ship right to you door. These make great gifts as well. Greenbury makes the best smoked turkey, hands down. Figure about 1 lb. per person. Texas Monthly thinks the same: “A mahogany-hued smoked turkey from Greenberg, tender and juicy, is such a holiday tradition in some families that they’d sooner do without a Christmas tree. Cu4Cup Flour: This is a great all-purpose gluten free flour. I use it to make all of my pie crusts, cakes, rolls and cookies. You can use the recipe from this post and make them this weekend. They’ll keep in your refrigerator for 2-3 weeks wrapped tightly in plastic. You might think about making a few more and freezing them for Christmas.
Gluten Free Pie Crust Mix: If you don’t want to make yours from completely scratch this mix from Williams-Sonoma is wonderful. They have free shipping right now if a store is not near you.
Canned Pumpkin for Pumpkin Pancakes, Sea Salt Caramel Pumpkin Bundt Cake or traditional pie. I really like Trader Joe’s or the Pumpkin Pie Mix (canned – not really a “mix”) from Whole Foods.
Spices: I just restocked on a few things. My local grocery store has buy 2 get one free. Check yours this week before they are out of what you will need.
