I love when a company gives back. Talbots and O, The Oprah Magazine just released their third limited-edition capsule collection benefiting Dress For Success. Founded in 1997, Dress For Success is an international not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
This new collection is all about classic navy and white with a hint of red with a ladybug, a symbol of luck and abundance. 30% of net proceeds benefit Dress For Success’ programs across the country.
This cropped Classic Navy Peacoat is perfect for the crazy wet weather we’ve been having. It is currently 25% off! I love the little bit of swing in the cut and gathered sleeve detail. You know I love a good detail! It’ll be great with dresses this spring as well. It tops the scalloped sleeved gingham top that has red embroidered trim and a tiny lady bug at the hem.
One of my youngest daughter’s nicknames is Lady Bug so this slim scarf makes me smile…She’s tried to confiscate it more than once! I’ve tied it to one of my favorite bags for a pop of color. It also makes a cute wrist-tie as well.
From now until April 1, you can support Talbots’ efforts with Dress for Success by making a monetary donation. They are also accepting nearly new wear-to-work clothes in stores today through Sunday, March 1 – 4.
I hope you’ll join me in supporting this great cause. I’ve already gathered a few items to drop off and help another woman achieve her dreams!
